Wilma Jean Bradley, age 88 of Plainfield and formerly of Elwood, died May 5, 2011 at The Gathering Together Hospice Facility in Plainfield after an extended illness. She was born July 6, 1922 in Frankton the daughter of Armel Colin and Shirliereed (Driskell) Jack. She was a 1940 graduate of Frankton High School. She married William V. Bradley on July 31, 1943. She was a longtime member and Deaconess of the East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood. She worked at the Ex-Cello Corporation in Elwood for many years and retired in the early 1970's. She enjoyed knitting, making stuffed teddy bears, making afghans, and playing in a euchre card club.
Survivors include: 2 Sons – Dennis Lee (Tanya) Bradley of Plainfield, and Richard Allen (Nancy) Bradley of Plainfield; Sister – Ruth Musick of Elwood; 4 Grandchildren – Shannon Jameson, Michael Bradley, Daniel Bradley, and Philip Bradley; 3 Great-Grandchildren – Joshua Jameson, Justin Jameson, and Amber Jameson; and Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by: Parents; her Husband – William V. Bradley who died August 19, 2003; 3 Brothers – Allen Jack, Ralph Jack, and Wayne Jack.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2011 prior to the service at the funeral home.
