Ursula R. "Sissie" Ebert, age 50 of Inverness, FL, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness following a very unexpected illness. She was born May 21, 1962 in Springfield, TN, the daughter of Frederick and Billie Frances (Heatherly) Kraft. She formerly worked as a Hotel Clerk for both franchises of Motel 6 and Super 8 Hotels. She was a 1980 graduate of Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, CO where she lived for many years. Sissie married Harris R. Ebert on June 18, 1993, and they later moved to Florida in 1999. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies' Auxiliary where she helped with veteran's projects. Sissie was proud to be a donator to the "Locks of Love" program, and had donated more than 56 inches of her hair to the cause over the past several years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and they traveled both in the U.S. and overseas to see family members. Sissie also enjoyed writing and working on craft projects.
Sissie's family includes her father, Frederick (wife Hagn) Kraft of Germany; husband of more than 19 years, Harris R. Ebert of Inverness, FL; 2 children, Christa (husband Karl) Senf of Colorado Springs, CO and Luke (wife Lisa) Norwood stationed in Minot, ND; 3 step-children, Duncan Ebert of Anderson, Alisha Ebert of Ashland, TN, and Christina (husband Doug) Durbin of Fishers; 3 brothers, Anthony (wife Nadia) Kraft of Luxembourg, David Sober of California, and James "Jamers" Sober of Cripple Creek, CO; brother-in-law, Leon (wife Carol) Ebert of Frankton; uncle, Wolfgang Kraft; 2 aunts, Sissie Heatherly and Elizabeth James; 1 grandchild; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; special friends Tim & Jennie, and Scott and Jen Hartup. She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Frances (Heatherly) Kraft; aunt, Susie Heatherly; brother-in-law, Eldon Ebert; and 3 uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Nate Warren of the Grace Baptist Church in Elwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 7 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the funeral home.
