Tracy T. May, age 44 of Noblesville and formerly of Elwood, passed away early Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis following an extensive battle with Diabetes. He was born on October 24, 1968 in Elwood, the son of C. Don and Phyllis I. (Bousman) May. Tracy was Vice-President and Associate Principal of Bollinger, Lach & Associates, Inc. – an engineering company based in Indianapolis and Chicago; and he retired from the company in 2010 due to health disability. He was also formerly employed by Stanley Consultants Global Engineering in West Palm Beach, FL and Beam, Longest, & Neff Consulting in Indianapolis. Tracy was a 1987 graduate of Elwood Community High School, and was president of his class. He attended I.U.P.U.I., and majored in Civil Engineering Technology and CAD design. He was an avid athlete – playing high school football and basketball, formerly Babe Ruth Baseball, and especially enjoyed golfing in recent years. Tracy was passionate about his work throughout the state of Indiana, and was well-known through many professional associations. In 2009, he was elected and served as national president of the A.P.W.A. Engineering Association. Tracy enjoyed technology of all types, and always had the newest and latest electronic devices and computers. He was an avid fan of the rock group "KISS", and traveled around the country to see them at various venues. He was also a fan of the Beatles, Seinfeld, and the Andy Griffith Show. For the past few years, he attended Grace Community Church in Noblesville, and was devoted to attending the Saturday evening services. Tracy's humor and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Tracy's family includes his mother, Phyllis May of Elwood; wife, Diana (Swinford) May of Noblesville; daughter, Abbey May (companion Jordan Craft) both of Noblesville; 2 step-daughters, Emily Lubach and Erin Lubach of South Plainfield, NJ; 4 brothers, Cris (Debbie) Briggs of Ridgeville, Regie May of California, Corey (Sonya) May of Elwood, Dane May of Florida; sister, Dana May of Winchester; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Tracy was preceded in death by his father, C. Don May; paternal grandparents, Jewel Combs and Noble May; and maternal grandparents Nora Bousman and Martin Bousman.
A service celebrating Tracy's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Dave Rodriguez of Grace Community Church in Noblesville officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
