Tina Marie Martin , age 56 of Alexandria, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Elwood following a brief illness. She was born Aug. 4, 1967 in Elwood, the daughter of Willard L. Lindsay Sr. and Penny (Patton) Thomas. Tina married James W. Martin on Dec. 23, 1996, and they shared over 27 years of marriage together. She enjoyed regularly watching her favorite soap operas, "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless". Tina loved all animals, but especially enjoyed watching butterflies and spoiling her beloved dogs, "Dixie" and "Little Man". There was nothing in the world Tina loved more than her family. She liked having breakfast at Friendly's Restaurant with family members. Tina was known for being incredibly kind hearted and would do anything to help someone in need. More than anything, Tina will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Tina's family includes her husband, James Martin of Alexandria; 5 children, Tommy Huffman of Plainfield, Anthony (wife Anne) Harless of Elwood, Penny (husband Robert) Cowan of Noblesville, Ashley (husband Kyle) Martin of Morgantown, KY, and Jayme Martin of Alexandria; siblings, Tammy (husband John) Stinson of Elwood, Willard Lindsay, Jr. of Anderson, Eddy (wife Sheree') Lindsay of Elwood, and 9 additional siblings through marriage; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 24 nieces and nephews. Tina was preceded in death by her father, Willard Lindsay, Sr.; step-mother, Ellen Lindsay; 2 uncles, Gerald Patton and Roland Patton; and 2 infant grandchildren.
Tina's wishes were to be cremated. Her family will have a celebration of Tina's life on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Quincy Masonic Lodge in Elwood. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elwood Animal Shelter through the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.
