Terry Lee McPhearson, age 54 of Lorida, Florida and formerly of Elwood, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 as the result of an accident in front of his home. He was born December 24, 1960 in Elwood, the son of Donald L. and Esther (Martin) McPhearson. Terry worked as a fork truck driver for Turf Care Supply Corporation in Sebring, FL for the past 6 years. He was a 1979 graduate of Elwood Community High School. He formerly worked for the City of Elwood at the Street Department for 15 years and worked at Airfoil Textron in Elwood for more than 15 years. Terry was a member of both the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge in Florida. He was very close to his father, and enjoyed talking with him daily on the telephone. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Terry's family includes his father, Donald L McPhearson of Elwood; grandmother, Margaret Collins of Elwood; 4 children, Tad McPhearson of Peru, Erin McPhearson, Cody McPhearson of Peru, and Ryan McPhearson of Peru; several grandchildren; step-sister, Stacey Lewellen of Elwood; 2 step-brothers, Robert (wife Lori) Rickabaugh of Elwood and Toby Rickabaugh of Ohio; aunt, Carolyn (husband Tom) Mountcastle of Elwood; numerous cousins; and several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his mother; and step mother, Colleen McPhearson.

A Memorial Service celebrating Terry's life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home prior to the memorial service.
