Teresa A. "Teri" Croy, age 57 of Frankton and formerly of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the St. Vincent Hospice Center in Indianapolis following a very brief illness and diagnosis.  Teri was born June 5, 1960 in Anderson, the daughter of Philip and Rita (Myers) Parton.  She was a 1978 graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School, and later attended St. Francis College and Ball State University.  She was a licensed Respiratory Therapist and worked at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital and I.U. Health – Tipton Hospital for many years.  She truly enjoyed her profession, and was dedicated to caring for her patients.  Teri married the love of her life, Nicholas J. Croy on June 26, 1981, and they shared 36 years of marriage together.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood; the Elwood Elks Lodge #368; the Alexandria Eagles Auxiliary; and the AARC, American Association of Respiratory Care.  Teri especially loved spending time with her grandchildren who called her "Nana".  She was a devoted wife and mother who loved nothing more than to care for others needs before her own.  Teri enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, and she always had a smile on her face.  She was a friend to everyone, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Teri's family legacy includes her husband, Nicholas J. "Nick" Croy of Frankton; daughter, Shanna M. Croy (companion Kandon Kane) both of Elwood; 6 siblings, Cathy Dell, Mary McCormack, Mike (wife Julie) Parton, John (wife Trudy) Parton, Tim (wife Amanda) Parton, and Lisa (husband Brian) Clark; 2 beloved grandchildren, Trinity Croy and Liliana Kane; siblings-in-law, Kathy (husband Larry) Massey, Robert (wife Shelley) Croy, David (wife Wanda) Croy, Patricia Helpling, Debbie (husband Dave) Smith, and Kenneth (wife Belinda) Croy; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Rita Zettel Harris.  Teri was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Nicholas Croy, Jr. in 2006.

A funeral service celebrating Teri's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Father Dan Duff of St. Joseph church officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 17 ^th at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the "Teri Croy Grandchildren's College Fund" through the funeral home.  Online expression of condolence may be made to the family at copherfeslermay.com.
