Shawn A. Steffler, age 43, of Waxhaw, NC and formerly of Elwood, passed away after an unexpected illness on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Waxhaw. He was born September 11, 1971, and was a graduate of Elwood Community High School in 1991. He worked as a welder. Shawn loved to spend time with his family and friends, watching football, playing pool and enjoying life.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger Steffler, who he married on October 31, 2014; daughter, Haily and son, Dylan both of Anderson, IN; stepdaughter, Casey Finch and stepson, Tyler Finch; brothers John and Nick; sister, Tammy; stepmother, Theresa Steffler; and grandmother, Bernice (Dom) Bicknell along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Shawn also leaves behind three treasured dogs, Kilo, Sylis and Oscar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. Steffler and Cindy Crockett Steffler.
