Ruth Ann Graham, age 76 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2017 at her residence after battling cancer for several months.  She was born September 16, 1940 in Elwood, the daughter of Charles L. and Verna Alice (Tomlinson) Kimmerling.  Ruth was the store manager at Family Dollar in Tipton for several years and retired in 2011.  She also formerly worked as a welder at General Cage Co. in Elwood.  She was a very tough person who enjoyed her privacy in her life.  She was known for facing life's hardships and challenges head-on.  Ruth passed these life lessons of independence and a strong work ethic down to her family, and this is a wonderful legacy for her life.  She will be greatly missed by her family.

Ruth family includes 6 children, Debra O'Neal of Middletown, Don Clark of Elwood, Rod (wife Alison) Clark of Elwood, Rita (husband Ronald "Wink") Murphy of New Kent, VA, Darrel Clark of Elwood, and Diana Graham-Haskett (husband Mike Haskett) of Elwood; 15 beloved grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and special cousin "Millie" in Anderson.  Ruth was preceded in death by both her parents.

Per her wishes, private burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.  Online expressions of condolence may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
