Obituary

Rosemary Frye , age 96 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Westminster Village in Muncie after a long, full life.  She was born March 20, 1927 in Madison County, the daughter of Edwin and Rose (Williams) Seibold.  She was a 1945 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood.  Rosemary married William W.  "Bill" Frye on August 10, 1946, and they shared 39 loving years of marriage together before his passing in 1985.  Rosemary and Bill had ten children.  She worked as the complex manager for Elwood Arms Apartments in Elwood for many years.

Rosemary was a long-time, faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood where she served on the funeral dinner committee and was a member of the church choir for many years.  She especially enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was a leader within the church RCIA program.  Rosemary also enjoyed fellowship with her friends as a member of The Red Hat Society.  In her free time, Rosemary enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.  She adored her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rosemary will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was truly the matriarch of her large family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rosemary's surviving family includes 8 children, William (Diane) Frye of Muncie, Robert (Kathy) Frye of Supply, NC, Ronald (Ruth) Frye of Fernley, NV, Edward (Anne) Frye of Trafalgar, Marsha (John) Chris of Elkhart, Teresa (Sam) Clemmons of Muncie, Linda Briles of Elwood, and Barbara Deggans of St. Petersburg, FL; several grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Frye; son, John Frye; daughter, Rosi Parker; and 10 siblings, Paul Seibold, Helen Gebhart, Roy Seibold, John Seibold, Louis Seibold, Reta Seibold, Rose Seibold, Joe Seibold, Raymond Seibold, and Conrad Seibold.
