Obituary

Ronald N. Shuck , age 81 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022 surrounded by his family at Elwood Health & Living following an extended illness.  He was born May 25, 1941 in Kokomo, the son of Carl and Frieda (Williams) Shuck.  He was a 1959 graduate of Sharpsville High School.  Ron last worked in production at Steel Parts Corporation in Tipton for over 20 years.  He married Cindy L. (Reynolds) Kleinbub on March 21, 1979, and they shared over 43 years of marriage together.  Ron and Cindy were members of Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood.

Ron lived his life to the fullest.  He was a former member of the Elwood Elks Lodge #368.  Ron was an avid fisherman and member of several Bass Clubs in the area.  He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling at both Lucky Strike Lanes and Wells Lanes in Elwood.  In high school, Ron was a good basketball player and continued this passion as a referee for many years as an adult.  He also was an umpire for Indiana State Little League games; enjoyed golfing; and was an auctioneer for several years.  More than anything, Ron loved spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed.

Ron's family legacy includes his wife, Cindy Shuck of Elwood; 4 children, Laronda (Allen) McCorkle of Tipton, Lamonica (Jeff) Ogden of Tennessee, Lamanda (Troy) Hooker of Tipton, and Patrick (Jenny) Shuck of Tipton; step-son, Scott (Debbie) Kleinbub of Florida; 5 siblings, Bob (Fern) Shuck of Virginia, Martha Shuck of Kokomo, (twin-brother) Don Shuck of Florida, Sharon Caldwell of Sharpsville, and Edie Burnette of Kokomo; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; beloved dog, "Snowflake"; and many nieces and nephews.  Ron was preceded in death by his parents; 12 siblings; and an infant child, "Little Ronnie" who died at birth.

A memorial service celebrating Ron's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will take place from 12 to 2 pm prior to the memorial service on Thursday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Ron's wishes were to be cremated.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Heart of Hoosierland Humane Society or the Grant County Humane Society.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
