Robin Lynn Elston , age 75, of Washington, DC, and formerly of Elwood and Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 16, 2026.  She was born July 30, 1950 in Elwood, the daughter of George and Karla J. (Loyd) Elston.  Robin was a 1968 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School and attended Ball State University.  She dedicated over 20 years of service to Guide Lamp in Anderson, where she worked in production and was a proud member of U.A.W. Local #663.

Robin was a member of the Christian Science Group.  A passionate runner for many years, she competed in numerous marathons, won her age group multiple times, and qualified for the Boston Marathon.  She was also an accomplished swimmer who generously taught swim lessons to many in the Elwood community over the years.

Robin is survived by her son, Kristopher (wife Ainsley) Glotzbach of Chicago, IL; 3 grandchildren, Annabella Marie Glotzbach of New York, NY, Sarah-Katherine Glotzbach of Austin, TX, and John Eric Glotzbach of Chicago, IL; sister, Michael (husband Ken) Nugent of Indianapolis, IN; 2 aunts Sue (husband Greg) Lawrence of Los Angeles, CA and Maureen Dawson of Indianapolis, IN; and former husband, Stephen Dearing of Anderson, IN, who loved her steadfastly.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son John "Eric" Glotzbach; and daughter, Alison Marie Glotzbach.
