Robert L. "Rob" Hancock, Jr., age 29 of Cicero, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.  He was born November 22, 1988 in Huntington, the beloved son of Robert L. Hancock, Sr. and Michelle L. (Embry) Hancock.  Rob was a 2007 graduate of Elwood Community High School, and was often known as the class clown with a great sense of humor.  He had worked as a meat cutter at the Cicero Market for over 10 years, and truly enjoyed interacting with customers at the market.  Rob enjoyed fishing and cooking; and also had a broad knowledge of current music.  He had overcome a good amount of adversity in his life, but currently was crazy about his new 2-month old daughter, Raelyn.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and extended family.

Rob's family includes his father, Robert L. Hancock, Sr. of Delphi; daughter, Raelyn Hancock of Cicero; fiance', Sammy Jo Westlake of Cicero; sister, Brittni Hancock of Muncie; grandmothers, Karen Embry and Thelma (husband Gene) Hancock-Bell; 2 aunts, Joyce (husband Jeff) Poe of Elwood and Denita (husband Rick) Gray of Milan; 3 uncles, Bo (wife Jane Ann) Embry of Cicero, Coy Brashears of Alexandria, and Harold (wife Renna) Kaufman of Anderson; and nephew, Koba Joyner.  Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle L. (Embry) Hancock and grandfathers, John Hancock and Robert Embry.

A funeral service honoring Rob's life will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Randy Weaver officiating.  Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 PM on Thursday prior to the funeral at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow, and burial of Rob's ashes is planned to take place at Parkview Cemetery in Alexandria next to his mother.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset unexpected funeral expenses.  Online condolences to the family may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
