Robert G. Richwine, age 64 of Anderson, died peacefully at his home on Friday, November 9, 2012. He was born May 28, 1948 in Elwood, the son of John Lloyd and Dorothy (Higgins) Richwine. Robert was a special gift from God, and was mentally challenged all of his life. He was a very happy young person and was an inspiration to his family. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Elwood, and especially enjoyed spending time around his family's farm. Robert enjoyed assembling things and working puzzles; liked trucks and tractors; and loved looking at farm magazines. He was dearly loved by his family and will always be remembered for showing love to his family in very special ways. Robert's family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Snug Harbor for the exceptional care they have provided to Robert for so many years.

Robert's family includes his mother, Dorothy (Higgins) Richwine of Elwood; 2 brothers, Bill (wife Carolyn) Richwine of Elwood and Ben (wife Nancy) Richwine of Elwood; 2 sisters, Mary Faye (husband Wayne) Collins of Noblesville and Cindy Bruggner of Whitmore Lake, MI; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lloyd Richwine.

A private family funeral service and rosary will be conducted at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.
