Robert Arnold "Bob" Hunt, age 79 of Elwood, passed away peacefully and went to his Heavenly home on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following and extended illness. He was born on June 7, 1937 in Frankton, the son of Harold L. and Catherine (Jones) Hunt. Robert retired from RCA / Thompson Consumer Electronics in December of 1998 after 35 years working as a Machine Attendant. In recent years, he also worked for Marsh Supermarket in Elwood for 15 years and worked right up until his illness in May of 2016. Bob married Dawn Etsler on September 23, 1962, and they shared over 54 years of marriage together. He was a member of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene. Bob enjoyed attending tractor pulls and was a member of the Antique Tractor association. He especially enjoyed reading tractor books and publications and proudly won the first tractor pull held at the Frankton Heritage Days. He was an excellent provider for his family, and was extremely devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Bob always had a smile for everyone, and never knew a stranger while working in the community. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
