Robert J. "Bob" Goetz , age 73 of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.  He was born February 23, 1948 in Muncie, the son of Robert and Jessie (Duncan) Goetz.  Bob married Billie T. Hix on February 23, 1985.   He worked in production at General Motors in Marion for 32 years until he retired in 2004.  Bob was a graduate of Fairmount High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Sovereign Grace Church in New Castle.  Bob grew up and spent all of his youth in Rigdon.

Bob's family includes wife, Billie T. Goetz of Anderson; 3 step-children, Ben (wife Tiffany) Davis of Anderson, Chad (wife Christina) Davis of Anderson, and Nicole (husband Tony) Hiers of Jonesboro; 2 sisters, Carol (husband Raymond) Brown of Selma and Virginia Goetz of Muncie; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Leslie "Cub" and Maude Duncan; brother, Charles Goetz; and sister, Janice McCleary.
