He was born August 1, 1923 in Elwood, the son of Virgil and Leona (Mason) Snyder. Bob was a 1941 graduate of Tipton High School, and was very accomplished in high school sports. He remains on the High School's wall of accomplishments. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
