Rita Fettig of Cicero, died on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville after 80 happy years of life.  She was born February 3, 1943 to Paul and Eileen Engle.  Rita married Lawrence "Maurie" Fettig on May 19, 1989.  Rita was an executive assistant working with the legal team at Boehringer-Manheim for more than 20 years.  She was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cicero.

Rita devoted many years to managing Fettig Realty with her husband.  She was passionate about interior design and enjoyed wintering with Maurie in Fort Myers, Florida.  Rita cherished her two dogs, Charlie and Chloe.  More than anything, she was devoted to her children and family.  Forever in our hearts, Rita will be deeply missed.

Rita is survived by her husband of 34 years – Maurie Fettig of Cicero; 6 children, Pam (Bob) Regnery of California, Nicole (Mark) Schofield of Noblesville, Doug (Kathleen) Gilmore of Georgia, Lance (Nicole) Fettig of Carmel, Lynne (John) Bunch of Noblesville, and Jeffrey Fettig of Noblesville; 8 grandchildren, Joe, Travis, Olivia, Peyton, Laney, Madison, Colin and Emily; 2 great-grandchildren, Ava and Georgia; brother, Carl Engle of Washington state; and several nieces and nephews.  Rita was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

A funeral mass will take place at 11:30 am on Friday, August 25, 2023 at St. Joesph Catholic Church in Elwood with Father Dennis Goth officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elwood.  Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Friday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home prior to the funeral mass at the church.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
