Obituary

Rebecca S. "Becky" Cunningham , age 71 and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 at Ascension-St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after several health issues.  She was born July 14, 1952 in Elwood, the daughter of Leland Earl Boyer and Virgie E. (Dickey) Boyer-Mast.  Becky was a 1970 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School.  She worked for 30 years at Delco Electronics in Kokomo in production and shipping operations and retired in 2003.  Becky was also formerly an aerobics instructor and owned Oasis Fitness Center in Elwood for 7 years; was co-owner of C & C Locksmith; and was a safe technician.  She married Leslie "Les" Cunningham on April 29, 1995 and they shared 5 years of marriage before his passing in 2000.

Becky was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Elwood.  She was known for organizing an annual family camping trip to various places to spend time with her parents, kids, grandkids, and great-great grandkids.  She loved nothing more than telling stories around a campfire, swimming, and having water-gun fights for fun.  Becky lived her life to the fullest.  She had sky-dived, ridden sky-coasters, and taken numerous trips to Gatlinburg and Florida.  Becky also enjoyed video games, jigsaw puzzles, and fun trips to casinos.  More than anything, Becky's family was the most important part of her life.  Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Becky's family includes 4 children, Craig Allan Faulstich of Elwood, Eric Eugene Faulstich of Marion, Vincent Lee Faulstich of Roanoke, and Tricia George (Ryan Luzadder) of Elwood; brother, Kendall (Georgeann) Boyer of Port Charlotte, FL; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Becky was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Les Cunningham; 3 sisters, Paula Cook, Paulette Schieter, and LeeAnne Dickens; nephew, Rex Dickens; niece, Kimberly Dickens; and 2 daughters-in-law, Angie Faulstich and Amber Faulstich.

A funeral service celebrating Becky's life and legacy will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Wynn Stenftenagel of the First United Methodist Church officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 pm prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
