Peggy Ann Stansberry, age 74 of Frankton, died Monday, July 8, 2013 surrounded by her family, at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness. She was born July 27, 1938 in Elwood, the daughter of Evelyn Morrow. Peggy retired in 1992 from General Tire Company in Marion, where she was employed for more than 30 years as a press operator. She attended Elwood High School, and later married Jack Stansberry on July 10, 1955. She enjoyed going to auctions, attending her grandchildren's baseball games, and buying and trading cars. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Peggy's surviving family includes 6 children, Ron (wife Kristy) Stansberry of Frankton, Steve Stansberry of Anderson, Lucinda (husband John) Rossiter of Anderson, Rick (wife Debbie) Stansberry of Frankton, Vicki (husband Steve) Irick of Quitman, GA, and Jeff (wife Christina) Stansberry of Anderson; brother, Ellis Morrow of Lawrence; 2 sisters, Beverly (husband Dwight) White of Indianapolis and Mary Lou Smith of Indianapolis; 29 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Charles and Mary Granger who raised her; her husband, Jack Stansberry who died March 11, 2009; son, Bill Stansberry; 2 brothers, Tom Morrow and Mike Morrow; great-granddaughter, Brianna Patton; and mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Paul Stansberry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Brad Storm of the Redeemer Baptist Church in Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service on Thursday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. There will be a pitch-in dinner for family and friends after the funeral at the Frankton Community Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
