Obituary

Patricia Ann "Pat" Strangeway, age 83 of Frankton, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born December 7, 1931 in Warren, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Margaret W. (Wheeler) Myers. Pat was a 1950 graduate of St. Paul's High School where she was valedictorian of her class and was also elected prom queen. She married Jack Strangeway on October 20, 1956. Pat worked as the secretary and office manager for R & R Insurance Agency in Elwood for more than 20 years and retired in 2007. She attended Frankton United Methodist Church. She was formerly active in the Mary Hanlin Bowling League at Wells Lanes in Elwood and enjoyed working with flowers and fishing. Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was extremely devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Pat's family includes her husband of more than 58 years, Jack Strangeway of Frankton; 4 children, Victoria Davis of Frankton, Lisa (husband Jim) Isaacs of Frankton, Tony Strangeway of Greenfield, and Lori Morris of Frankton; 6 grandchildren, Brian Davis, Lindsay Gossett, Cam (wife Jill) Paddock, Maggie Isaacs, Paige Isaacs, Kyley (husband Jared) Cress; 8 great-grandchildren, Carley, Layne, Gavin, Maddie, Cale, Maizy, Finnigan, and Jax; sister-in-law, Norma Taylor of Frankton; brother-in-law, James Strangeway of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, R.J. Myers.

A funeral service celebrating Pat's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Gary Elsten of Frankton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 7 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
