Patricia Ann Miller, age 86 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20th, 2015 at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following a relatively brief illness. She was born September 4, 1929 in Elwood, the daughter of Roland and Kitty (Beall) Griffin. Patricia was employed by Ex-Cello Corporation (later Airfoil Textron) for over twenty-five years, and also formerly worked at Essex Wire Co. in Elwood. She was a 1947 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School, and later married Raymond C. Miller on January 27, 1951. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Madison County Home Economics Club, and the TOPS Fitness group. She enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards (especially hand & foot), word games, and word searches. She also enjoyed making ceramics and listening to Gaither gospel music and older gospel music. Pat was a good cook; loved birds; and especially loved Christmas and July Fourth celebrations. More than anything, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Patricia's living family includes 4 children, Steven R. Miller of Elwood, Kathy (husband Fred) Brink of Banning, CA, Susan (husband Ronald) Yoder of Elkhart, and Gregory Miller of Elkhart; ; 6 grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Jessica (husband Mike) Hart, Christopher (wife Jamie) Kane-Brink, Hilary Anderson, T.J. Riddle, and Tony (wife Melissa) Riddle; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Pam Berg and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond Miller who died in 2013; and 3 siblings, Edwin Griffin, Earl Griffin, and Ruth Williams.
Funeral services celebrating Patricia's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Amos Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 3 to 8 PM at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
