Patricia Ann Martin , age 87 of Frankton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following an extended illness. She was born June 13, 1932 in Elwood, the daughter of William and Marie (Porter) Silvey. Pat attended Red Corner School and later graduated in 1951 from Frankton High School. She married her soulmate, Paul M. Martin, on September 30, 1953 and shared over 65 years of marriage together. Pat worked in production inspection for Delco Remy in Anderson for over 30 years and retired in 1984. She was a member of U.A.W. #662 and was a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson. She was involved in various functions at the Nazarene church through the years. Pat especially enjoyed gardening, canning, planting flowers, and always took wonderful care of her home. She was a great cook and was known for her delicious chicken and noodles. More than anything, Pat loved spending time with her family and especially her beloved grandchildren.
Pat's family includes her husband, Paul M. Martin of Frankton; son, Paul Wesley "Wes" (wife Debbie) Martin of Alexandria; daughter, Robin Ann (husband Jeff) of Zephyrhills, FL; 2 sisters, Martha Taylor and Linda (husband Don) Driffel; 4 grandchildren, Curtis (wife Sara) Martin, Kara (husband Jason) Holt, Sarah (husband Darren) Wallace, and Megan (husband Max) Segraves; 6 great-grandchildren, A.J., Caidence, Hayden, Colten, Jackson, and Rilynn; 5 sisters-in-law, Wilma Silvey, Rose Silvey, Janice Martin, Kay Marling, and Fran (husband Mike) Williams; 2 brothers-in-law, Max (wife Clara Lou) Martin and Jim (wife Marsha) Martin; loving friend and caretaker, Debbie Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Gene Silvey and Johnny Silvey; and 2 sisters, Rose Davis and Mary Adams.
A funeral service celebrating Pat's life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Dr. Lindell Browning of the First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
