Obituary

Patricia Anne Craib, age 76 of Elwood, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following a brief illness. She was born November 9, 1936 in Anderson, the daughter of Irvan H. and Vada I. (Rinker) Ohler. Patricia married Carl W. Craib on August 1, 1953. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Anderson and also recently attended St. John Lutheran Church in Elwood. Patricia enjoyed spending winters with her husband in Bowling Green, Florida for many years. She also enjoyed knitting, cooking, and especially spending time with her family. Patricia formerly served as the Duck Creek Township Trustee for several years, and became very involved in politics. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and will be greatly missed by her family.

Patricia's family includes her husband of more than 59 years, Carl W. Craib, Sr. of Elwood; 4 children, Debra Craib of Elwood; Linda (husband Jeff) Morrison of Muncie, Gayle Craib of Luray, VA, and Carl W. Craib, Jr. of Elwood; 6 grandchildren, Deanna Morrison, Patricia Shoemaker, Bradley Morrison, James Shoemaker, Carl Craib III, and Veda Craib; 5 great-grandchildren, Kayden Morrison, James Shoemaker, Jr., Iris Cobb, Makayla Shoemaker, and Eaden Shoemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grandchild, Issac Quate.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Thursday prior to the funeral service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Online condolences:
