Pamela Kay (LaShure) Vest , age 68 of Elwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home early Friday, Oct. 13, 2023 after an extensive lung complication.  She was born Jan. 14, 1955 in Tipton County, the daughter of Samuel Homer and Helen Margaret (Croy) LaShure.  Pam attended Wendell L. Willkie High School with the class of 1973.  She married James W. "Jim" Vest on January 17, 1976, and they shared over 47 years of marriage together.  Pam was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She especially loved reading and watching cooking shows.  Pam was formerly affiliated with the Madison County Shrine Club for many years.  More than anything, Pam cherished the time she spent with her family.

Pam's family includes her husband, Jim Vest of Elwood; 3 children, Katina (Rob) Hobbs of Elwood, Jimmy (Angie) Vest of Peru, and John Vest (companion Lisa) of Elwood; 2 siblings, Diane Fernung and Terry LaShure; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Brittany, Sierra, Katie, Ashleigh, and James "Cameron"; 7 great-grandchildren, Alanna, Maverick, Delilah, Denver, Paisley, Lydia, and James "Elliott"; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pam's wishes were to be cremated with no formal service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.  Burial will take place at a later date in the Elwood City Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Shrine Club.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
