Nellie Jewel Daulton , age 88 of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Elwood Health and Living following an extended illness.  She was born Dec. 14, 1935 in Limestone County, Alabama, the daughter of Leonard J. and Addie (Ball) Faulk.  Nellie worked for many years in production at Essex Wire in Marion.  She formerly attended East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood.  Nellie loved to care for her flower garden and enjoyed shopping and going to garage sales.  More than anything, Nellie adored spending time with her family.

Nellie's family includes 3 children, Michael Stapleton, Steven Stapleton, and Tracy Lynn Wadholm; 3 step-sons, Sydney Daulton, Mark Daulton, and Patrick Daulton; sister, Paulette (Steve) Turner; brother, Douglas Faulk; sister-in-law, Emma (Gary) Strecker; brother-in-law, Richard (Karen) Daulton; and several nieces and nephews.  Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Stapleton; second husband, Andy Lee Daulton in 2019; 4 brothers, Phillip Faulk, James Faulk, Horace Faulk, and Jerry Faulk; 3 sisters, Laverne Everson, Ruth Collins and Betsy Stewart; and sister-in-law, Lois Weasel.

A memorial service celebrating Nellie's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City, Indiana.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 to 1 pm on Friday prior to the memorial service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
