Obituary

Nedra "Jo" Duncan, age 82 of Tipton, and former lifelong resident of the Rigdon community, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at I.U. Health - Tipton Hospital in Tipton after a brief illness. She was born December 13, 1931 in Windfall, the daughter of Richard C. and Roxie L. (McCoy) Nash. She married Richard E. Duncan on June 15, 1948. Nedra was a homemaker all of her life, and also formerly worked at Fettig's Canning Company, Parkview Nursing Home in Elwood, and the Wagner Company in Wabash. She was a long-time member of the Rigdon United Methodist Church; formerly active in a euchre club; and collected Golden Wheat dishes and other collectibles. She enjoyed dining out, and most importantly – she loved caring for and spending time with her family.

Nedra's family includes her husband of 66 years, Richard E. Duncan, Sr. of Rigdon; son, Richard E. (wife Janet) Duncan, Jr. of Rigdon; 3 daughters, Kitty (husband Earl) McCombs of Bainbridge, GA, Anita (husband Dennis) Wilson of Point Isabel, and Andrea (husband Clint) Litaker of Elwood, 4 sisters, Evangeline (husband Carl) Scott of Elwood, Donna (husband Ward) Davis of Kokomo, Linda (husband John) Norwich of Kokomo, and Connie (husband Ken) Richie of Marion; 8 grandchildren, Chadd Wilson, Katie Horine, Rebecca (husband Richard) Sandy, Benjamin (wife Kelly) Duncan, Deric (wife Latasha) Duncan, Rodney (wife Jenny) Reynolds, Anthony Reynolds, and Sharon Hazelett; 12 great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kelsey, Emilee, Delaney, Shiloh, Avanelle, Arial, Gabrial, Andre, Arriana, Destini, and Winter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred Nash; and grandson, Timmy Wilson.

Private funeral services for Nedra will be held at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, and burial will follow in Knox Chapel Cemetery in Fairmount.
