Obituary

Naomi R. Hasecuster, age 91 of Tipton and formerly of Elwood, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton after a brief illness. She was born March 25, 1921 in Elwood, the daughter of McClellan and Sarah (Babb) Brown. She worked in production at Delco Remy for over 20 years and retired in 1982. She had also worked as a beautician in Elwood for many years. Naomi was a graduate of Elwood High School. She married George Robert "Bob" Hasecuster on March 18, 1938. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood and a member of the Swayzee Order of Eastern Star Chapter #501 (formerly Elwood O.E.S. Chapter #71). Naomi enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and cooking for her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her family members include a son, Ronald L. "Fuzz" (wife Linda) Hasecuster of Longview, Texas; daughter, Sharon (husband Tom) Davis of Claypool; 5 grandchildren, Mike Brannock, Jeffrey (wife Julie) Davis, Brian (wife Jill) Brannock & family, Todd Davis, and Christopher Davis; 8 great-grandchildren, Courtney Davis, Robert Davis, Allison Davis, Tyler Davis (Fiancé Brittanie Mosbaugh), Kaylie Davis, Kayla (husband Lucas) Grohn, Chelsea Brannock, and Trevor Brannock; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Sarah Gerber and Gavin Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husband of nearly 39 years, George R. "Bob" Hasecuster who died February 1, 1977; son, Wayne Edward Hasecuster; 7 brothers, Orville "Jake" Brown, Dale Brown, Russell Brown, John Brown, McClellan Brown, Clester Brown, and Oren Brown; and a sister, Bernice Corbett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home with an Eastern Star Memorial service at 7:00 PM.
