She was born, June 22, 1918 in Frankfort, the daughter of Charles and Sarah Ella (Smith) Holt. Mildred was a 1937 graduate of Windfall High School. She married Loyd D. DeLong on June 6, 1937, and they shared nearly 62 years of marriage together before his passing in 1999. Mildred enjoyed gardening, sewing, working jigsaw puzzles and reading. She also loved listening to music and watching sports on television – especially golf. Family was the center of Mildred's life, and she kept a great sense of humor right until the end. Mildred will be greatly missed.
Mildred's family would like to thank the staff of Autumnwood Village, Miller's Merry Manor, and Guardian Angel Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion provided to Mildred in her final years. Their tender care will never be forgotten.
