Obituary

Michelle Diane (Speer) Ventura , age 43 of Anderson and formerly of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a series of health complications.  She was born October 6, 1976 in Elwood, the daughter of Michael C. Speer and Kathy D. (Bambrough) Creamer.  Michelle was a 1995 graduate of Elwood Community High School and later attended college for two years.  She was currently a dispatcher for the City of Anderson C.A.T.S. Transportation Department where she had worked for several years.  Michelle formerly attended the Old Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Tipton County.  She married Casey J. Ventura on September 9, 2000, and they shared over 19 years of marriage together.  Michelle was a devoted mother to her three children, and her life was truly focused on caring for her family.  She especially loved spending time outdoors – fishing, camping, and hiking.  Michelle loved watching her son's sporting events and her daughter's show-choir competitions.  More than anything, she was a loving daughter, wife, and devoted mother who will be deeply missed.  Her legacy will live on in her precious children.

Michelle's family includes her mother, Kathy Creamer of Anderson; husband, Casey Ventura of Anderson; 3 children, Austin Ventura, Sophia Ventura, and Joseph Ventura all of Anderson; 3 siblings, Scott (wife Lori) Higgins of Noblesville, Stephanie Speer of California, and Grant Speer of California; and many other extended family members.  Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Michael Speer; maternal grandparents, Dan and Gladys Bambrough; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Mary Speer.

Michelle's wishes were to be cremated.  A private service will take place with her family.  Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood has been entrusted with Michelle's funeral arrangements.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ventura Children's College Fund to be established at BMO Harris Bank, through the funeral home – P.O. Box 20, Elwood, IN 46036.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
