Michelle Deann (Fernung) Ice , age 45 of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2022 at her home.  She was born March 27, 1977 in Anderson, the daughter of Michael H. Fernung and Patricia L. Hart.  Michelle grew up near Summitville and attended Madison-Grant High School in the class of 1995.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved collecting all sorts of arts and crafts.  More than anything, she loved her family and children very much.

Michelle's family includes her father, Michael of Elwood; mother, Patricia Hart of Huntington; 2 children, Cheyanne Hasty of Indianapolis and Damon Hasty of Kokomo; 2 brothers, Eric Fernung of Indianapolis and Chris Fernung of Marion; a granddaughter, Renesmay; and 3 nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Gertrude Fernung.

Cremation will take place.  A Memorial Visitation and Gathering for family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood, and online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
