Michael Eugene Yohe passed away unexpectedly at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 following several health complications.  He was born July 19, 1947, the son of William Robert "Bob" Yohe and Madonna Jean (Beam) Yohe.  Mike graduated from Tipton High school in 1965 and Ball State University in 1969, earning a B.A. degree in History.  He spent most of his career serving the disabled of Tipton, Hamilton, and Madison Counties.  Mike was an accomplished miniature artist specializing in architectural recreations of a variety of historical periods including Ancient Roman, Colonial, and Pioneer American.  He loved movies, history, collectibles and animals, especially his canine house mates Pettie, Lady, Spider, and Jake.  Mike was the epitome of a gentleman his entire life.  If compassion, gentle care, selflessness and love were truly honored in this world, he would have been made a king.

Mike loved and was loved by his family which includes sister Robin Lynn Hartley and brother-in-law, Bruce Hartley both of Elwood; his niece, Sarah Lynn Hartley Olsen and her husband David Olsen and his grandniece, Sloane Hailey Olsen all of Lisle, IL.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside memorial service honoring Mike's life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Elwood City Cemetery with Rev. Doug Bohall of the First United Methodist Church in Elwood officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Elwood Animal Care and Control Shelter, 511 North 14 ^th Street, Elwood, IN 46036.  Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mike's funeral arrangements, and online expressions of condolence may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
