Michael Hargrove, age 63 of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following a very brief illness.  He was born March 10, 1954 in Cleburne, Texas, the son of Roy and Vivian Alline (Fitzgerald) Hargrove.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Okinawa.  Michael worked in construction most of his life, and had been a professional siding applicator working for both Sears and Allside for many years.  He was a friend to everyone, and enjoyed joining his friends on fishing trips and turkey shoots.  Michael was always there to lend a hand to a friend, and stayed connected to his mother and grandchildren despite the distance of their homes.  He also enjoyed collecting older, rare coins, and listening to the "Country Top 100" countdown every Sunday on the radio.  Michael was known for loving hot dogs and fried potatoes.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael's family includes 2 children, Michael (wife Sheena) Hargrove, Jr. of Benbrook, TX and Timberly (husband Richard) Conner of Granbury, TX; special girlfriend, Debbie Goodman of Elwood and her daughter, Shelby; 4 brothers, Ronny (wife Carlotta) Hargrove, Don (wife Beverly) Hargrove, Freddie (wife Sharon) Hargrove, and Terry (wife Renee') Hargrove all of Cleburne, TX; 10 beloved grandchildren; 3 beloved great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Patrick Hargrove.

A memorial service celebrating Michael's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with members of his family speaking.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the memorial service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home on Friday.
