Obituary

Michael R. "Mike" Giselbach , age 64 of Elwood, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton following an extended illness.  He was born July 17, 1957 in Elwood, the son of Raymond C. "Jim" and Shirley (Richardson) Giselbach.  Mike was a 1975 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood.  He worked as a service department writer for over 20 years, most recently working for Dan Young in Tipton.  Prior to Dan Young, he also worked for Hare Chevrolet in Noblesville for many years.  Mike enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed fishing trips to Linton, Indiana.  He especially liked to watch old western television shows.  Mike was able to find the best in every situation and always found a way to have a good time.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

Mike's family includes 2 children, Taylor (husband Robert) Yates of Elwood and Jason Giselbach (fiance Julie Savickis) of Fishers; bonus daughter, Laura Nichole (husband Warren) Jones of Camby; father; Raymond "Jim" (wife Leketta) Giselbach of Fairmount; 2 brothers, Kenneth (wife Kathy) Giselbach of Elwood and Timothy (wife Robin) Giselbach of Texas; sister, Bethellen (husband Dale) Crum of Lafayette; 7 grandchildren, Kendall Giselbach, Ryan Giselbach; Avery Yates, Jaxson Yates, Wyatt Yates, Mackenzie Copeland and Zaiya Jones; and several nieces and nephews.  Mike was preceded in death by his mother.

A funeral service celebrating Mike's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with members of Mike's family officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.   Health precautions for the safety of the family and visitors will include wearing face coverings and social distancing.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harry Bridges Little League through the funeral home.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
