Melodie Marie-Rose Craig , 4 days of age, passed away in the arms of her daddy on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023 at I.U. Riley Hospital in Indianapolis after a premature birth on Nov. 10, 2023 in Anderson.  She was the beloved daughter of Chloe M. Lacey and Michael S. Craig, Jr.  Melodie was baptized by the hospital chaplain in a private ceremony.  She was blessed with wonderful care by the I.U. Riley Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff that will never be forgotten.

Melodie's family includes her parents of Anderson; maternal grandparents, Stephanie Hinz of Indianapolis and Richard Lacey, Sr. of Indianapolis; paternal grandparents, Michael Scott Craig, Sr. of Anderson and Lizabeth (Howard) Bowen of Texas; great-grandparents, David and Diana Wilson of Cloverdale, James Craig of Elwood, and Evelyn Smith of Noblesville; aunts and uncles, Richard Lacey, Jr., Brandon Monk, Bailey Rogers, Adrionna Lacey, Mayla Craig, Maleina Arnold, Drew Arnold, and Collin Arnold; and numerous cousins.  Melodie was preceded in death by a sister, Aleyia Jo Craig in 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home with Pastor Amanda Capshaw officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am before the service.  Cremation will follow.  Online condolences may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
