Mary Alice Noel , age 80 of Perkinsville, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief battle with cancer.  She was born March 8, 1942 in Anderson, the daughter of Lonnie and Velma (Seward) Durham.  Mary attended Anderson High School.  She worked as a welder for ABC Rail in Anderson for 23 years and retired in 1999.  Mary loved quilting and had made numerous quilts for family and friends through the years.  She also won many awards for her quilting.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.  Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary's family includes her longtime companion of 23 years, Ted Rittenhouse of Perkinsville; son, Terry (wife Wendy) Noel of Windfall; daughter, Christina Hutton of Mesa, AZ; step-daughter, Angela (husband Joe) Schmitt of Poneto; 5 grandchildren, Drew Barker, Dusty Ellis, Megan Noel, Madison Hutton, and Jacob Noel; 5 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Amelia, Annabeth, Roselea, and Laine; and several nieces and nephews.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Francis Pryor, Norma Sells, and Dee Barbee.
