Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Wolff, age 71 and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a sudden illness.  Kathy was born May 10, 1946 in Elwood, the daughter of William M. "Bill" and Mary Elaine (Nolan) Kiser.  Kathy attended St. Joseph School until high school, and then graduated in 1964 from Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood where she was one of the twirler girls.  She later attended St. Mary's Nursing School in South Bend for two years before marrying Nicholas F. "Nick" Wolff on November 26, 1966.  Kathy worked as an accomplished seamstress most of her life, not only operating her own business, but working at Vest Cleaners in Elwood for many years.  She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood all of her life.  Kathy enjoyed painting, baking, crocheting, woodcarving, photography, and scrapbooking.  More than anything, Kathy was absolutely devoted to her grandchildren and caring for all her family.

Kathy's family legacy includes her husband of over 50 years, Nicholas F. "Nick" Wolff of Elwood; son, Shane (wife Amy) Wolff of Fort Wayne; daughter, Niki Fisher of Noblesville; 4 beloved grandchildren, Baylie, Brendon, Josiah, and Matthias; sister, Pat VanDalsen of Niles, MI; 2 nephews, Marty (wife Hillary) Blake and family, and Jeff (Valerie) VanDalsen and family; 2 nieces, Kathleen Rider and Jaclyn Ruff and families; and sister-in-law, Kay Cook of LasVegas, NV.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Michelle Blake.

A funeral service celebrating Kathy's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Father Dan Duff of St. Joseph Church and nephew, Marty Blake officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elwood.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the funeral home, and will include a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 PM.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Joseph Church Building Fund through the funeral home.  Online expressions of condolence may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
