Mary Ann Wilson , age 67 of Elwood, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at her home following an extended illness.  She was born July 21, 1956 in Elwood, the daughter of Paul E. and Wilma (Hill) Parker.  Mary was a 1974 graduate of Elwood High School and furthered her education at Anderson School of Nursing.  She married Wendell L. Wilson on November 14, 1987 and shared over 36 years of marriage together.  Mary began her nursing career at the original Dickey Nursing Home in Elwood, and after they closed she continued her nursing career at Parkview Nursing Home in Elwood.  She retired from nursing as an LPN on September 30, 2019 after 40 years of caring for her patients.  Mary also worked with her sister Margaret at their flower shop, Blair's Flowers for 10 years in Elwood.  She enjoyed putting floral arrangements together, painting, crafting, and coloring.  Mary loved animals and had several special dogs and cats throughout the years.  She will be remembered for her love she showed through caring for others.

Mary's family includes her husband, Wendell L. Wilson of Elwood; 4 siblings, Margaret (husband Kit) Frazier of Elwood, Jack (wife Leslie) Parker of Elwood; Paul Parker of Anderson, and Jim Parker of Tipton; sister-in-law, Sylvia Wilson of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Wilma Ann Parker.

A celebration of Mary's life will take place at a later date.
