Marcella L. Garman, age 85 of Anderson and formerly of Elwood and Anderson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Bethany Point Health Center in Anderson after an extended illness. She was born November 10, 1930 in Elwood, the daughter of Howard and Nettie (Spall) Koons. Marcella was a 1948 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School. She retired in 1983 from the Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson after 30 years working in production. She was a member of the U.A.W. #662 in Andeson and formerly enjoyed golfing and reading. Marcella will always be remembered as a very generous person.

Marcella's family includes 2 sisters, Margaret (husband Darrell) Idlewine of Elwood and Carolyn Petro of Venice, FL; brother, John Koons of Chesterfield; grandson, Chad Conwell of Tipton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Deborah Jones.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park in Elwood with Rev. Ron Meyer of Harmony Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morrisett Center Food Pantry through the funeral home.
