Obituary

Maggie M. Holderman , age 67 of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.  She was born July 3, 1956 in Noblesville the daughter of Lloyd and Patty (Dillon) McPhearson.  Maggie was in the class of 1975 at Wendell L. Willkie High School.  She worked for many years as a CNA at Dickey's Nursing home in Elwood, J Lewis Smalls in Elwood, Red Gold in Elwood, and then Acraline in Tipton.  For several years, Maggie lived in Illinois and worked for Meco, but later came back to Indiana to continue her career at Integrity, formerly Acraline, until she retired.  To stay active during retirement, Maggie worked at Get-Go in Elwood.  Maggie married the love of her life Mike Holderman in 1997 and shared 15 years of marriage together until his early passing in 2011.  She liked to spend time camping, reading, and caring for animals.  Maggie currently had three very special fur babies, "Susie", "Sarah", and "Sophie", whom she spoiled.  More than anything, Maggie loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Maggie's family includes, 4 children, Georgia "Sissy" Robinson of Elwood, Ricky Beeman of Elwood, David Beeman of Florida, and Davida LaMar of Elwood; step-daughter, Shelly Holderman; brother, Jim McPhearson of Elwood; 5 grandchildren, Kayla Buster, Korbin (wife Abbi) Buster, Devon Robinson, Krysta Beeman, and Cameron Holderman; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Maggie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Holderman; 4 sisters, Luann Severance, Sharon Shannon, Anita "Teed" Gant, and Sue McPhearson; brother, Jon McPhearson; and 3 special dogs, "Rocky", "Sadie", and "Gage".

Maggie's wishes were to be cremated.  The family will be having a celebration of life on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Tipton Shelter House.  Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood is honored to handle Maggie's arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
