Madonna "Ann" Clifton , age 80 of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Majestic Care of Sheridan following an extended illness.  She was born April 21, 1938 in Elwood, the daughter of Willis and Violet (Peters) Himelick.  Ann worked as a teacher for many years in Ohio.  She attended Duck Creek Boone School and Summitville schools, and she was a 1956 graduate of Alexandria High School.  She later attended Ball State Teachers College and received a Masters Degree in teaching from Ohio State University.  Ann was a real estate agent in the Noblesville area later in life and lived in Hamilton County for several years.  She also enjoyed making and selling handmade jewelry.

Ann is survived by a good friend and caretaker, Lindley (wife Linda) Comer of Elwood.  She was preceded in death by both her parents.

Private services will be conducted at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, and entombment will follow in the Elm Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Animal Shelter in her memory.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood, and online expressions of condolence may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
