Lora Ann Hughes , age 57 of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at I.U. – Ball Hospital in Muncie after an extended illness.  She was born November 26, 1967 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Roger and Patricia (Jones) Hughes.  Lora attended Elwood Community High School with the class of 1986.  She formerly worked as a bartender locally for many years.  Lora enjoyed spending time outside – cooking out, kayaking, and enjoying nature.

Lora's family includes her daughter, Brittani Welch of Van Alstyne, Texas; step-son, Michael (companion Sarah) Niel; companion of many years, Tom Creamer of Elwood; 5 grandchildren, Lyrica, Phoenix, Ashton, Charish, and Lexie; and several nieces and nephews.  Lora was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Annabelle; and 3 brothers, Mike Hughes, Dan Hughes, and Jeffrey Hughes.
