Lisa Renee Henn-Schafer, age 42 of Indianapolis and formerly of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2017 at her residence following a very brief illness. She was born June 20, 1975 in Elwood, the daughter of Larry Lee Henn and Linda (Murray) Henn-Kidwell. Lisa had been employed as a commercial painter for AAC Painting Company in Indianapolis. She was formerly a member of the East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood. She attended Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis where she was a cheerleader, then graduated from Elwood Community High School in 1993. Lisa enjoyed music and reading, and was an avid dog lover.
Lisa's family includes her mother, Linda Kidwell of Noblesville; step-father, Phillip V. Kidwell; wife, Jessica Schafer of Indianapolis; 3 children, Jordyn Leigh Dugger of Tennessee, Austin Neale Dugger of Noblesville, and Macy Jade Dugger-Coonce of Noblesville; brother, Darren Kidwell of Noblesville; step-brother, John M. Kidwell of Kentucky; aunt, Rhonda Carpenter of Warner Robins, Georgia; uncle, Tony (wife Jennifer) Henn of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lee Henn; maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Rosella Murray; and paternal grandparents, Mark and Mary Jane Henn.
A funeral service celebrating Lisa's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow next to her father in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 to 11 AM on Friday prior to the funeral service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lisa Henn's Children Scholarship Fund through the funeral home. Online expressions of condolence may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
