Linda L. (Morris) McCool , age 79 and a lifelong resident of Elwood, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Elwood Health & Living Center after a long battle with cancer and dementia. She was born February 22, 1944 in Elwood, the daughter of John Thomas and Louise Annabell (McPhearson) Morris. Linda attended Frankton schools. She married Paul Howard Dwayne McCool on March 19, 1960, and they shared over 63 years of marriage together. Linda was a former member of the Frankton Church of the Firstborn where she attended regularly for many years. She absolutely loved family gatherings, holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda especially enjoyed the Christmas holiday and spoiling all her family members with an abundance of gifts. She was known for collecting all kinds of things including dolls, Native American items, and figurines. For many years, Linda enjoyed fishing and spending time at Yellow Creek and Hill Lake with family members. She always looked forward to family vacations and especially loved spending time at Myrtle Beach. Her family is comforted knowing that Linda is now in perfect health and sound mind in Heaven. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Elwood Health & Living for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to Linda in her final days. The comfort they provided will never be forgotten.
