Linda Jones-Little, age 61 of Windfall, died Tuesday January 24, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospice Center in Indianapolis following a courageous 8-year battle with cancer. She was born January 2, 1951 in Meriden, CT, the daughter of Everett S. and Bronis F. (Ferus) James. She and her husband were former owners of The Spoke Bar in Elwood. Linda formerly lived in Deland, Florida for several years where she operated a bail bonds business. She married Richard R. Little on November 18, 2002. She was Past President of the American Legion Post 53 in Elwood. Linda was a Co-Founder of the Elwood Veterans Helping Veterans program and a member of the Soldiers' Angels - a group who crochets items for veterans and VA hospitals. Linda was also an avid reader.
Survivors include: Mother – Bronis F. James of Kansas City, KS; Father – Everett S. James of Wallingford, CT; Husband of nearly 10 years – Richard R. Little of Windfall; Daughter – Brenda (husband Chris) Pierce of Windfall; Son - Brian Fatowski of Wallingford, CT; 2 Sisters – Sandy Scinto of Kansas City, KS, and Deborah James of Stratford, Ct; 3 Grandchildren – Faith Guandalini, Ashley Baker, and Kristie Baker; 2 Great-grandchildren; and 1 Nephew. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Conneally.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday February 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Stan Alvey of the Charity Inn Church officiating.
