Leketta Sue Giselbach, age 86, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Elwood Health and Living following an extended illness. Born on April 11, 1940, in Madison County to James Edward and Lova Leona (Dale) Crouch. Leketta was a 1958 graduate of Fairmount High School. On October 1, 1978, she married the love of her life, Raymond C. “Jim” Giselbach. Together, they shared more than 48 years of devoted marriage, built on unwavering faith and love.
Leketta’s strength of will and steadfast faith were evident in every aspect of her life. She retired from Burnette-Dellinger Insurance Company in 1996 after more than 20 years as a dedicated insurance clerk. A lifelong, faithful member of Harmony Christian Church, Leketta was active in the Ladies Aid and served as a representative for Rainbow Christian Camp. She found great joy in serving others through her church and community.
Leketta and Jim cherished their years traveling together, creating memories on cruises and spending peaceful winters in Florida. Yet, her heart was always most at peace at their beloved farm home. Leketta will be remembered as a loving wife, a woman of deep faith and strong will, and a true friend to all who knew her.
Leketta’s family would like to thank the staff at Elwood Health and Living for their care and compassion.
Leketta is survived by her husband, Raymond C. “Jim” Giselbach of Elwood; 2 nieces, Carla (Steve) Morris of Elwood, and Lori (Daniel) Alcala of Summitville; 3 great-nieces, Alyson Alcala, Stephanie (Jordan) Schippert, and Hannah (Luke) Wechter; step-son, Kenneth (Kathy) Giselbach of Elwood; step-daughter, Bethellen (Dale) Crum of Lafayette; step-daughter-in-law, Robin Giselbach of Texas; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-great-nieces and nephews; and many great-grandchildren.
Leketta is preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher Rinearson; 2 step-sons, Mike Giselbach, and Timothy Giselbach; and sister, Leveda Brown.
A funeral service celebrating Leketta’s life and faith will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Harmony Christian Church in Elwood with Pastor Josh Shoemaker officiating.
