Obituary

Leda F. Rebuck, age 80 of Elwood, died unexpectedly on December 20, 2010 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. She was born March 20, 1930 in Elwood, Indiana. She worked in production at Airfoil Textron for 12 years and retired in 1990. She was also a Homemaker all of her life. She was a 1948 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood, a former member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, and formerly enjoyed traveling. She also formerly worked as a greeter at K-mart for several years. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and she was always very focused on her family ? especially her children and grandchildren, who adored her. Her family finds great comfort in knowing that Leda will be celebrating Jesus? birthday in heaven this year. Survivors include: 2 Daughters ? Rae Ann Goens and companion Jack Glotzbach of Elwood; Leslie and husband Dale Mills of Indianapolis; Son ? Neal A. Rebuck and companion Velia Flores of El Paso, Texas; 3 Grandchildren ? Michael T. Goens of Elwood, Cleo Rae Mills of Indianapolis, and Jude Anthony Mills of Indianapolis; 3 Bonus Grandchildren ? Heather Hughley, David Mills, and Debbie Mills; Sister-In-Law ? Velma Tanzilli-Osting of Elwood; Lifelong best friend ? Francie Robertson; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Parents ? Liberantonis and Bianca (Bellandi) Tanzilli; Brother ? Leo Tanzilli; Sister ? Lillian Hughes; and Infant Sister ? Ellen Tanzilli. Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood with Father Paul Cochran officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no viewing per Leda?s wishes, but there will be a time of visitation from 12 to 1 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church prior to the funeral.
