Lawrence B. "Larry" Pedro, age 77, and a longtime resident of Frankton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness. He was born September 14, 1938 in Elwood, the son of Walter J. and Agnes (Cooper) Pedro; and was baptized at St. Joseph Church in Elwood. Larry retired in 1997 from Delco Remy Corporation in Anderson where he worked in production for 40 years. He was a 1956 graduate of Tipton High School, and later served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 and was stationed in Germany. He married Nancy J. Hocker on September 11, 1960, and they have shared 55 years of marriage together. Larry was a member of the U.A.W. #662 and was interested in cars. He also enjoyed reading, listening to big band music, and attending all of his family's sporting events. Larry always took great pride in caring for his yard, but more than anything, he will be remembered for his devotion to his family.

Larry's family includes his wife, Nancy J. (Hocker) Pedro of Frankton; 2 sons, Tim (wife Kathy) Pedro of Fort Wayne and Joe (wife Cindy) Pedro of Schaumberg, IL; daughter, Lora (husband Jeff) Cooper of Anderson; 2 sisters, Susan (husband Bill) Bockover of Fishers and Joretta Rich of Anderson; 3 half-sisters, Barbara (husband Keith) Plake, Kathleen (husband Darrell) Murray, and Cynthia (husband Herman) Idlewine; 3 brothers-in-law, John (wife Barbara) Hocker, Jerry (wife Bonnie) Hocker, and Larry (wife Sharon) Hocker; 2 sisters-in-law, Margaret Muston and Linda (husband Mike) Hardin; 12 grandchildren, Amanda, Megan, Becky, Joe, Jon, Hannah, Kyle, Cory, Ross, Austin, Zachary, and Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Annabelle Pedro in 2007; brother, Jan Lynn Pedro; and granddaughter, Madison Cooper in 1995.

A funeral service celebrating Larry's life will be conducted on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating and will conclude with Military Honors by the U.S. Military and the Elwood V.F.W. Honor Guard. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 6 PM on Thursday prior to the funeral service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
