Obituary

Kenneth E. Heller, age 71 of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his residence following extensive health issues.  He was born November 23, 1945 in Elwood, the son of Delbert E. and Mildred S. (Waymire) Heller.  Kenny was a 1963 graduate of Frankton High School, and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  During his 4-year tour of duty he was stationed in Vietnam and was a flight line instrument repairman.  He attended Indiana University, Ball State University, and received specialized electrical training with General Motors.  He became a Journeyman Electrician at the Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson, and retired in 1999 after 32 years of service.

Kenny married Cozette K. Jerrils on July 20, 1985, and they shared over 31 years of marriage together.  He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Anderson.  He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the U.A.W. #662, the Wayne-Fall Lions Club, the National Rifle Association, and the Alexandria V.F.W.  Kenny was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and especially enjoyed his Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic.  He also enjoyed collecting records and listening to music – especially gospel music.  Kenny liked living in the country and caring for his hobby farm and enjoyed riding around on his ATV.  He had a great sense of humor and was known for always having the latest technology gadgets.  More than anything, Kenny loved his family, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Cozette K. (Jerrils) Heller of Noblesville; 2 children, Mary Beth (David) Bily of Hill City, MN and Tamara J. (Jason) Moore of West Lafayette; sister, Sharon (Morris) Noel of Rincon, GA; brother, Rick (Mary Beth) Heller of Millersburg, OH; twin granddaughters, Allison and Katherine Bily; in-laws, Larry & Carol Walker of Alexandria; extended in-law family members, Jay & Dana Jerrils, Veva & Rory Royston, Troy & Valerie Jerrils, Vaughn & Connie Walker, Brian & Sandra Walker, Jeff & Roberta Walker; lifelong best friend, Kent (Judy) Arbuckle of Frankton; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Timothy Joel Heller; and infant sister, Shirley Kay Heller.

A funeral service celebrating Kenny's life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 815 E. School Street, Anderson, IN 46012, with Pastor Matt Boldizsar officiating.  Burial will follow in the K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton and will include military honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force and Elwood V.F.W. honor guard.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood and from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the funeral on Friday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Anderson.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Glad Tidings Assembly of God or a Veteran's organization of the donor's choice.  Online expressions of condolence may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
