Kenneth Eugene "Butch" Call , age 66 and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Ascension-St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood after a brief illness.  He was born December 28, 1956 in Elwood, the son of Ralph B. and Joyce E. (Greenstreet) Call.  Ken was a 1975 graduate of Elwood Community High School.  He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years where he worked as a military mechanic.  Ken worked at ELSA Corporation in Elwood, and he also assisted at Conwell Exhaust in Elwood for many years.  He loved to work on cars and especially enjoyed formerly owning a 1968 Dodge Charger for many years.  Ken enjoyed a simple life and often preferred to spend time by himself.

Ken's family includes his sister, Debra Smith (Jim Derrickson) of Elwood; cousin, Gene Bradburn and family of Elwood; 5 nieces and nephews, Mathew Leffert, Curtis McClish, Chlesea (Tyler) Walker, Shawnna Derrickson, and Lawrence Call; 4 great nieces and nephews, Madelyn Smith, Chloe Smith, Lilly McClish, and Theo Walker; and longtime friends, Doug Conwell and Mike Johns both of Elwood.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark Call; and a nephew, Andrew "Andy" Smith.

Ken's wishes were to be cremated.  Burial will take place at a later date with his parents at the Frankton K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.  Online condolences and memories may be made at www.copherfeslermay.com.
