Karla Danielle Gordon , age 45 of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Indianapolis.  She was born January 4, 1974 in Elwood, the daughter of Karl and Charlotte (Hughes) Ritter.  She was a graduate of Frankton High School.  Karla was an in-home health care provider, mainly employed through the Hopewell Center in Anderson for 10 years.  She married Mark E. Gordon on May 1, 2008.  Karla loved to draw and sketch cartoons and different characters.  She was proud of her small, annual vegetable garden and liked to swim outside in her pool.  Karla was a very hard worker who loved to spend time with her family.  Many good memories were made around the fire pit with her family.  More than anything, Karla loved to care for her family.  Her family is proud of how she had a heart to care for others, and was shown in many ways including being an organ donor.

Karla's family includes husband, Mark E. Gordon of Anderson; mother, Charlotte Ritter; 3 children, Ariel Collard, Macenzie Potter, and Jacob Bradley; 5 step-children, Ashley Gordon, Bobbie Gordon, Courtney Gordon-Shatz, Chelsea Harris, and Jenna Gordon; 5 sisters, Tammy (husband Harry) Cox, Stephanie (husband Don) Boothroyd, Heather Ritter, Amanda Ritter, and Rebecca (husband David) Krenz; 10 step-grandchildren; and 6 nieces and nephews.  Karla was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.

A memorial service celebrating Karla's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Redemption Church of God, 614 North 3 ^rd Street in Elwood with Rev. Christopher Ruder officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the Memorial service.   Memorial contributions are suggested to Redemption Church of God.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
